Art Description:
In Paris at the Saint Ouen Flea Market an eccentric art dealer tried to persuade me that pastel was an exclusively French medium. I made a mental note to explore and pursue the medium when I returned to the the studio. This was my first rally with medium. I coated the canvas with pastel ground so that it would be receptive to the chalk beforehand and afterwards spray fixed it. Ideally it will framed and behind glass to protect the delicate surface but it is ready to hang.
