Art Description: Forty eight Predator Drones, painted the colors of the rainbow, "float" on storm clouds. Appeared in the May 2016 issue of Sculpture Magazine.
"Where Have All the Soviets Gone? reflects on my time in the aerospace industry and living through the end phases of the cold war. Through these forty-eight colorful planes riding in storm clouds, I hope to call attention to the seemingly never-ending cast of new villains that have replaced the USSR and the United States' increased reliance on unmanned aerial vehicles. The title recalls a simpler time, when our “enemies” were clearly defined and our government seemed less at war with its own citizens."
Medium Used: urethane foam, paint, graphite, steel
