Art Description:
From the artist:
"Unlike other flowers, hydrangeas have multiple colors. When the flowers start to bloom, they are light green, but they change to various beautiful colors such as blue, pink, red, purple, white etc. The environment of the soil or the brightness of sunlight is what determines the color of the hydrangea. In a way, we humans are similar to the characteristics of hydrangeas. All of us are creative and individual exist with a variety of colors, but depends on the circumstances and environment we are in, our colors are expressed in beauty and bright colours or gloomy and darkness. In today's world, it is said that it is difficult to achieve our dream only through our own efforts and talents. In most cases, it is said that our own colors are assigned in proportion to the environment and circumstances as a bright and dazzling or gloomy and darkness.
This work expresses the hope that even if the reality we are in is a dark environment and situation that is difficult to change, I hope we do not lose our unique colors like a hydrangea and keep it to the end of our life. The main characteristic of this work is that it was intended to express vitality and three-dimensional effect by sculpting petals and leaves using plaster. In addition, the petals were expressed by combining similar and opposite colors, but harmonized without awkwardness, the leaves are also harmonized with irregular freedom by mixing green-based colors. Another characteristic of this work is that it is more than a realistic depiction of the subject, makes the characteristics of the object more colorful, splendid and three-dimensional. Dream is not expectations from reality, but beyond reality because it is an ideal, this work also presents an ideal that transcends rather than the limit of a perceived object, then expressed in color."
