Art Description:
Habtta is an open market that takes place in many Omani villages prior to Eid celebrations. Families flock to these festive gatherings to buy cattle, toys, khanjars (traditional Omani daggers), gifts, and other goods related to Eid. In this painting, the artist celebrates the centuries-old tradition that is unique to her homeland. This painting is the first piece in a set that is currently displayed at the Muscat International Airport.
