Ribbon like gestures of oil suggest water and movement reminiscent of Monet. Birch wood panel was formerly a shelf. In place the wood grain remains and/or shows through. Wood sealed with amber shellac before painting and the amber provides its own inner glow. Panel itself has the thin 1/4 inch profile of a plywood sheet but the cradled structure to which it's attached suspends and stand the piece off the wall 1.5" lending it a floating appearance. It is ready to hang.
Medium Used: Oil on wood
