    Art Description:

Agopian's works highlight the chaos of the world we live in. He is known for using the following symbols in his works to represent the following:

Shell: Rebirth and deliverance from our shell imposed on us. Sign of change
Grenade (Pomegranate): It is the fruit of tree of life for the Armenians. Symbol of fertility.
Rope: To tie, attach, sustain. Nothing is entirely free.
Tearing: To conquer the unknown, curiosity. To look under, search and behond.
Fish: Freedom to be and do without hindrance.
Tree: Essential to the human survival.

    Medium Used: Acrylic on Canvas

"Fifty years of research to reach artistic maturity. There has never been an interruption in my artistic practice: studies, research, teaching were one source of stimulation to the creation workshop. My work is almost autobiographical, I try to reproduce an atmosphere, a mood, impressions, feelings, past experiences under different horizons … or perchance to dream … These images come also from my childhood or recent experience that my eye has filtered through my subconscious"
