Art Description:
From a series of paintings based on the sidewalk cracks on my way way to the studio each morning in Brooklyn, New York. The patterns of broken slate and concrete form a rhythm of incident and age. I wanted to bring them into my practice to compliment and contrast the otherwise colorful character of my work. These paintings were made simultaneously with the bright white and yellow Ill Corralo paintings and exhibited side by side in a solo exhibition called Day For Night at Causey Contemporary Gallery..
