Art Description:
Nightmare in November was painted in response to the 2016 U.S. presidential elections. It suggests the quietude of dreams being disrupted, threatened and destroyed by dark forces. It is a very large sepia toned painting of beds, doorways, children, ghosts and boogie men. I painted the narrative as if it was on a theater stage. The row of colored dots along the bottom suggest footlights on a stage to reinforce the melodrama at hand and to lend optimism to an otherwise grim tale.
Ships rolled in a secure tube. Will require stretching on a frame to be properly displayed.
