Art Description:
Large format oil painting of a woman from the 1960s feeling the sun on her face. Her closed eyes generate a serene feeling. I wanted her expression to radiate her inner life; the silent process of thinking to oneself. Thus the title's inference to "reverie" ( a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream.) the portrait is larger than life and has a blue underpainting which shows through in places giving the otherwise warm skin a sense of its inner vascularity. the photos show the actual scale.
