Art Description:
I see the picture plane as a *field of energy; a stage where drama is actively played out or a laboratory where experiments bubble and explode. The vigor and activity which go into generating this animation remain enlivened for the viewer to witness and be moved by. The stage in this case is a large scale frenetic field which distills action and movement into a sustained storm of color and gesture. It protests all complacency and insists on living life bravely in the face of adversity.
* for other example of these fields of energy see the paintings of Tintoretto, Rubens or Cecily Brown
Medium Used: Oil on Canvas
