Art Description:
There is a distance and obscurity in the nocturnal quality of lightlessness to which I pray and chase. As if throwing open a window in the dead of night crying out to the grim nothing, "Who's out there?" I want to mix that dread and drama into my paint. To smear and scumble the oblique missing links of recognition into a rhapsody of wonder. The ideal response to these paintings is a suspended, "Wait, what am I looking at here?!"
