    Art Description:

Growing up cinema was the first major influence. Growing up in Texas meant cowboy movies or "Westerns" were favorites of my parents. When you’re a kid you just see the adventure, the heroes and the nostalgia for the good old days and good old boys of the wild West. As an adult witnessing American nationalism on the the rise a reevaluation of American culture is overdue. Macho characters riding roughshod over anyone or thing that get in their way clash with progressive ideas of ethics. Here an outmoded cowboy is views the 'hear no evil, say no evil' views of a younger generation as bass akwards. A moment of disbelief is suspended.

    Medium Used: Oil on Linen

A body of work should not be a cadaver evidencing life that was but rather the flash-point for life which ignites anew on each renewed encounter.
