Art Description:
The Ill Corrallo series are ostensibly sunflowers but initially a formal strategy to deploy color and gravity to suggest an upward motion of floating and ascending forms. Raw white canvas grades into unbleached titanium. The neutral and unmodulated tones are complimented by active brushwork and vibrating color. The verticality of the flower like forms are given visual tension by the diagonal brushstrokes on the bottom.
