      Art Description:

      S.C.L.I.O.D.=Simple connection in the light of day Girl and deer in a golden landscape. I collect snapshots 4 for a dollar out of a bin in a Brooklyn antique store. I look for photos which diverge from the standard composition of people looking into the lens; posing in front of their car, at weddings etc. Instead I look for people engaged in the world somehow. People doing things. I take liberties and speak to the old vintage image hoping to translate/generate a narrative. This drawing is spray fixed yet the surface remains delicate and requires framing to be properly displayed. Soft pastel on 22x30" gray Mi Tientes sanded paper. Image area is 19.85x26.5 inches. The border is for handling and framing and not a part of the image. The pastel is sprayed yet remains delicate and requires special handling and framing to be properly hung.
