    Art Description:

    From the artist:

"The affirmation is not mean to deny yourself in pain and to pretend happy or joy all the time. Practical affirmation can be possible when our unhappiness and suffering are removed from the root. Our attitude toward God is same as this. We can try to forget ourselves in pain because of the idea that we should respect and fear God, but if this attitude is dominant, the heart and conversations with God are more formal than frank. It would create a distance between God and me. The prayers of David, Job, Moses, Elijah, Paul in Bible are sympathetic to God and widely cited even in modern times' the biggest reason of it is that their prayers were straightforward and honest.

This work contains the content of speak out to God in honest prayer about myself and the world in pain. It is composed of a total 6 parts and in parts of the Prayer of Karis 1-4 express personal suffering through prayer, and Prayers of Karis 5-6 are expressed for children who are suffering by poverty, violence, labor, war & other ailments.

The Prayer of Karis 4 is as follows:

    Dear Lord,

Dear Lord, I want to believe you are not a tester but my father. Please stop the test of suffering to me who is exhausted. Hope the relationship with the Lord is restored, with the power of a strong love that nothing can separate, the Lord and I are connected to win against all negative and miserable thoughts and an unfair world. I am nothing in the world, but I think anywhere God dwells, I can do everything, so please make trust each other not one-sided demands for trust and obedience but Lord and me are united. If the swamp of despair is too deep, neither love nor grace invisible. so please wash my heart and eyes with the water of the Holy Spirit, then please make me to see the world more brightly. All these prayers, I pray in Jesus name, Amen."
