    Art Description:

The bathers sequence is about youth, summer, ghosts, death and rebirth. We were all children once and as adults when we swim we are young again. The Bathers combine desperate scenes to exist in a dream-like fragmentation between the cradle and the grave. The title here is a nod to Ernest Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises. The prone head is borrowed from a Miro painting I see him as an ambiguous father figure or figurehead. Alternative photos show my Bathers exhibit in the US Virgin Islands in 2018.

    Medium Used: Oil on Canvas

A body of work should not be a cadaver evidencing life that was but rather the flash-point for life which ignites anew on each renewed encounter.
