All Day and All of the Night (tondo)

Art Description:

Large format collage tondo. Layers of patterned fabric adhered to cardboard. The one inch stretcher bar frame en verso and wine corks were added to support the rigid support and edge and allow the piece to float off the wall. The title and white polka dots allude to an ongoing theme in my work; nocturnal atmospheres in diverse depictions. Influences for this eclectic tondo include Rauschenberg, Schwitters, the harvest moon and the Gee's Bend quilters.
