Large square format painting based on a collage made during Covid lockdown. A crowded field of shapes and letterforms self contained in cells compliment and contrast one another. Subtle drop shadows clue the eye to shifts in relief and depth. The sideways orientation of a focal point, the upper case G, lends a sensation of turning. As if the scene is moving, rolling and or falling while rich saturated colors contrast warm neutral and stark black and white tones in a push pull chromatic scheme.
