“Heads Up” is a quilt-like patchwork of repeated color and form. Painted in a retro palette of fresh pinks, oranges, greens and neutrals with recurring head and shoulder-like busts to intimate the a crowded field of ‘thinking, perceiving and constructing’ thought. Its intent is to remain busy and frenetic in line and gesture while contrasted by relaxed and pleasing color. 5 feet square it performs a mural like function; a kind of hand drawn wall paper to add delight and whimsy to an interior.
