Painting started in 2005 revisited and completed in 2022. Several nods to Jasper Johns here specifically the drawer like boxes in the lower third are designed in tromp l'oeil technique to trick the eye into perceiving actual incised relief. The vertical breaks are also drawn to suggest a multi-paneled triptych wherein the flow of gestures is arrested and broken by faux edges. Chaos and order share and compete for the stage.
