Art Description:
Another iteration of the I Live By The River formal strategy this long and horizontal and bringing into focus a little more clearly a city reflected in a river. In some ways these paintings are homages to Philip Guston. The edges of unpainted canvas are nods to Guston's tendency to let the framing edge remain raw. Cezanne also allowed raw canvas to show in places and it's always be a quite thrill to see them in person and have the sense of the skeleton of the process remain as part of the finish.
Medium Used: Oil on Canvas
